Behind the Scenes with Jadesola
“I want to make music that moves people. Music that people connect with on a deeper level, just how it connected with me while growing up”.
Music was a constant staple in Jadesola’s house as a kid. From her Dad playing Luther Vandross on repeat in the car to her oldest sister blasting songs by Paramore, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Muse and many more all around the house. Jadesola saw the way her sister related to and resonated with music. From then on, she chose her career path and never looked back.
Jadesola has stepped into this industry with a solid aim: to shatter as many glass ceilings as possible, and be a part of what she wishes she had seen on TV growing up. She wants to be “a part of what stops this cycle”.
Jadesola believes, “You don’t have to choose to be only one thing for the rest of your life. It is your life and you are in control”.

​Jadesola mixes her music with her love of Photography, Blogging, Creative Writing and Painting. They’re all purposefully linked and it becomes clear when you look close enough.

Mångata, Jadesola’s debut book, is being released this year. It’s a story about learning to live with things you can’t change. She speaks the depths of her heart through melodies, words, photos and brush strokes.
Jadesola strives to reach new heights with hard work and dedication, just as her parents had taught her.
With this mentality, Jadesola has been able to achieve a grade 8 in Trinity Rock and Pop vocals, and work at Atlantic Records (yes, the same label that's home to Megan Thee Stallion, Bruno Mars and Cardi B!), BBC Introducing, Americana music festival, Song Trust and many more. She’s also had partnerships with brands like Astrid & Miyu and Faithfull the brand. She has been doing all of this while finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Music Business.
Jadesola’s Christian faith is at the heart of everything she does because “It’s what keeps me going.”
Glass shards make wounds, yes, but Jadesola sees it as a necessary evil. She will keep fighting for representation and equality and doesn’t see herself stopping.
